Lots of tweens crave connection, emotional support and a confidence boost but sometimes loud, fastpaced group environments just aren’t their thing. Whether they go to school or learn at home, they often carry big feelings, social worries and a little self doubt.
💛
That doesn’t mean anything is wrong, it just means they need a space where they can show up exactly as they are, without pressure to perform or explain themselves.
Crafternoon is a live, online hang out created with that in mind. Through creativity, gentle guidance and meaningful weekly themes, tweens can relax, connect and grow in a way that feels calm, supportive and fun.
Each child brings along a craft they already love, whether that's drawing, LEGO, colouring in, knitting or anything else creative
We begin with a gentle arrival and grounding moment to help everyone feel calm and ready
Each week, we explore a meaningful theme like confidence, self-esteem, self-care or friendships, in a soft, supportive way.
As they create, tweens can listen, reflect and connect at their own pace. Every child participates in their own way so there’s no pressure, and sharing is always optional.
We finish each session with some gratitude and grounding, feeling calm, settled and supported
Crafternoon isn’t a lesson or a performance based class. It’s a gently guided space for creative expression, emotional growth and easy, pressure free connection with others.
Crafternoon is super lovely for tweens who:
Are sensitive, thoughtful or emotionally deep
Feel a bit unsure of themselves socially
Love creating but don't enjoy a rigid structure
Are homeschooled and looking for gentle peer connection
Attend school and need a calmer, kind group space
If this feels like the kind of support your child would enjoy, they’re warmly invited to join an upcoming Crafternoon session
No, they can simply bring a craft they already love. Drawing, colouring, LEGO, journaling, knitting. Anything creative is perfect
It’s neither. Crafternoon is a gently guided, creative space that supports confidence, connection and emotional growth in a relaxed, natural way.
That’s absolutely okay. There’s never any pressure to speak as sharing and participation always look different for every child.
Yes! It’s a lovely way for homeschooled tweens to build social and emotional confidence while connecting with peers.
Crafternoon is created especially for tweens aged 8-12.
Sessions typically run for around an hour — enough time to settle in, create and connect without feeling overwhelmed
We have a maximum of 8 in each session. Groups are intentionally kept small so every child feels safe, seen and supported.
Crafternoon supports confidence, self expression, emotional regulation and gentle social connection through creativity and play
Not at all. Children are welcome to join independently, though you can always stay nearby if that feels more comfortable for them.
